Data practices

A plain-language breakdown of what KLYNE collects, how it is used, and what it never does.

Emotion labels, context tags, and optional free-text notes you voluntarily enter. Standard technical data such as device type, app version, and error logs for stability and security. Nothing is collected passively or without your knowledge.
KLYNE's proprietary algorithm NEDA applies fixed, deterministic rules to your logged inputs to generate frequency, intensity, and pattern indicators. This is rule-based logic, not machine learning. A constrained AI language layer may be used solely to phrase pre-computed outputs into readable text — it does not interpret meaning or make assessments about you.
Only with a small number of infrastructure subprocessors necessary to operate the service. All are bound by strict contractual obligations and may only process your data on KLYNE's instructions. Your data is never sold, shared for advertising, or disclosed to employers.
No. Identifiable emotional data is not used to train external AI systems. Where an AI language provider is used for text rendering, data is processed under API terms that prohibit training use. Your logs are yours. They stay that way.
Your logs are retained until you delete them or close your account. We do not retain data beyond what is necessary for security, backup, or legal obligations. You can request full deletion at any time by contacting support@klyne.app.

No. KLYNE is a personal awareness and self-reflection tool. Not a therapy platform, diagnostic product, or clinical service. If you are in crisis or need clinical support, please reach out to a qualified professional.
Encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege access controls, security monitoring, and regular security review. Access to your content is restricted to you and authorised personnel on a strict need-to-know basis.
